Branching away for KDE4

Hi,

which branch should I pick, if I want to branch away KMix.
Is there an existing branch, or is it should I just create a new branch with a "random" unused name. I don't like the latter.
I presume, make_it_cool would be possible, but is not yet usable for the average developer, right?

PS: The reason is that there are bigger KMix changes for KDE4 ahead, and using #ifdef might not be enough.
