KDE startup music

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone out there can help. You of course all
know the tune that plays when KDE starts, but after you've heard it for
the 1000th time, it's a bit like the Oasis record one of your kids plays
forever - it kind of grates on the nerves and I wanted to change it.
I had no problem finding the wave file
/usr/share/sounds/KDE_Startup.wav, but what calls that file? - I've been
searching for a shell script, and have not been able to find one.
In the end I just renamed another .wav file that sounded if not better,
then at least different as KDE_Startup.wav and renamed the original by
adding _bak. It worked fine, but messy and I really want to know how to
sort this out. Also while I'm on the subject, would it be possible to
use an MPEG sound file? - which I suppose brings me back to my original
question - what' s the setup?

Regards, David J.
