Summary: Option to make paths in playlists relative
           Product: noatun
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: kde-multimedia at kde.org
        ReportedBy: zorglub_olsen at hotmail.com

Version: 2.4.0 (using KDE 3.2.0 RC1, Gentoo)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r2, propolice)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.1-gentoo

I often save a playlist.m3u in a directory with a ripped cd. But Noatun saves all file information in the file with absolute paths, which means that the directory can't be moved. XMMS also does this.
My suggestion is that Noatun determines if all the files are in same folder as I try to save the playlist to, and then makes the paths relative. Another solution is to simply provide an option for this setting - absolute/realtive.
