connecting the DCR-DVD101E Sony handycam

Hi
I'd like to connect my DCR-DVD101E to my linux box. I tried to connect
the camera via an USB cable. KDE automatically create the CD-ROM icon on
the desktop but trying to browse the icon I got the following error 

/dev/sr1 input output error
mount: no file system specified, impossible to determine the file system

Checking the fstab file this is the row related to the dev

/dev/sr1 /media/sr1 auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 #HOTPLUG
B3Fu.l++kpY2+vtA

can anyone help?
