Let me see... It seems that the libarts1 package is at version 
1.2.0-0+cvs20031018 . Pretty recent, IMHO.

That beautiful KDE window with a gear and a bomb already did it for me (sorry, 
can't recall the name now). I'm sorry, but everything I've got is compiled 
with no debugging symbols, and no possibility of doing so in the inmediate 
future. :-(
