Summary: Noatun should have relative volume levels i.e. "Whisper"
to "Rock Concert" w/normalization
Product: noatun
Version: unspecified
Platform: Mandrake RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: kde-multimedia at kde.org
ReportedBy: coolian at hotmail.com

Version: 2.2.1 (using KDE 3.1.0)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.1 3.2.2-3mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.21-0.13mdkenterprise

Just like the "Fuzzy Clock", the Noatun volume control could be set in relative sound levels...Instead of "Low to High", there could be "Library" to "Rock Launch". See more info at Relative Decibel levels

Also, there should be a way to actually limit the sound levels with regard to normalization, like in bug# 44726. I want to be able to guarantee that when listening to the Beatles then switch to Metallica, my girlfriend won't wake up beside me.
