OK, I can't comment on it. I only know what CSL is supposed to do, not how it 
actually does it. I have the code on my HD though. Didn't come around to 
reading, yet.

A user who needs both at the same time could do:
aRts app
+-> aRts
  +-> JACK
    +-> sound card
some sound producing app using CSL
+-> JACK
  +-> sound card
or:
aRts app
+-> aRts
  +-> sound card
some sound producing app using CSL
+-> aRts
  +-> sound card
Now isn't that a good thing?
