Hi everybody,

after some discussion with stw and mkretz I am full of new ideas for aRts...

One of my aims is to create an artscontrol-applet (already started in nonbeta) 
which supports all the features included in artscontrol and of course some 
more. At present time its a Fader for the mastervolume but I am also creating 
a VU-Meter artswidget which will also include fader abilities. My first 
question is: Is it okay to split artscontrol (in kdemultimedia/arts/tools) 
into libartscontrol, which holds the audiomanager and so on, and an applet 
and the program artscontrol, which both will use the same features from 
libartscontrol. This lib should not be a public one. (or perhaps it should 
be?)

Nevertheless I would be glad to hear some opinions until I can start the 
splitting after Feb. 20th. Until then I will go on wih the widgets and the 
applet in nonbeta (and of course with my analysis-learning:).
