I read the FAQ but could not find;

- - how do I check if realtime-priority does something. I get hickups when
switching virtual desktops!! Quite unacceptable.

- - Why does the KCM disable editing when I don't start artsd at KDE startup?
Does the auto-start (when starting noatun for example) use these settings?

- - Why do I see an artsd process running for users that don't have write rights
to the relevant /dev files ? (group audio in a default debian install)
Is there a way to simply disallow artsd to be started?

please cc me in ansers.
