Well, there are lots of potential problems with that.  The in-KDE timidity 
has surely been fixed up to work on systems KDE runs on, but the outside 
one may not have been.  The in-KDE timidity is sure to work with kmidi, 
but different outside versions may have changed incompatibly.

So, supporting an alternate timidity might be good, but only if the user 
asks for it.
