Hi!
After a longer period, I tried to use audiocd:/ kioslave but it failed.
The important part of my .xsession-errors shows the following:
Checking /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd for cdrom...
Testing /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd for cooked ioctl() interface
/dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd is not a cooked ioctl CDROM.
Testing /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd for SCSI interface
generic device: /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/generic
ioctl device: /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd
Found an accessible SCSI CDROM drive.
Looking at revision of the SG interface in use...
SG interface version 3.1.24; OK.
CDROM model sensed sensed: RICOH CD-R/RW MP7063A 1.50
kio (KRun): ERROR: 0x81cdd38 ERROR 20
kdeinit: PID 14174 terminated.
Although KDE is outputting tons of useless information to my .xsession-errors
file, the problem here is reported just by "ERROR 20". Does anybody know what's
happening ? Visually, after entering audiocd:/ into the konq URL bar, it starts
to rotate the gear and the drive spins up and its light goes on shortly; this
is the last thing. Nothing more happens :-(.
THe drive is ATAPI with SCSI emulation; it works well in data mode as well
as, say, in kscd. Using kernel 2.4.21-pre2.
