[digikam] [Bug 509223] Changing the date of a photo via Adjust Time & Date works correctly, but if I later apply a tag to the same photo, digiKam resets the photo’s date to the current date/time.

The problem cannot be reproduced here.
I suspect a faulty configuration on your end.
The problem can occur if you do not adjust all or all possible date metadata.
Then, when you write tags later, the old date will be reset by rereading the
metadata.
We need your settings for the Adjust Time tool.
Your metadata settings and sidecar.
It's best to also include a debug log of the process.
