Kdenlive uses about 130 MB on launch, but when I open the project it briefly
shoots up to 1 GB or so before crashing. The Mac I'm working on has 16 GB of
system RAM, so I doubt that's the issue.

The biggest clip I have (7 GB) runs for about 9 minutes.
