The best way to verify if a serial to usb adapter is working that I have found
on the Mac is to go to the /dev folder in the terminal  and see if a tty_USB0
or some similar device shows up after you plug it in.  If it does not, then
it’s not working.  If it does show up then it’s an indi or kstars issue.
