Please set "Show Splash=true" to "Show Splash=false" in your digiKamrc.
I know that I'm stuck on the splash screen at the moment, but after opening the
splash screen, a message is first written in the upper left corner (first stage
is: Initializing...). Since it doesn't appear anymore...
