"Debug" means with debug symbols?

Debian ships for each package (e.g. digikam) an additional package with debug
symbols (e.g. digikam-dbgsym). To generate meaningful backtraces, the
installation of the debug symbols package is required in addition to the
regular package.

I am not sure how that works exactly, but that might be the reason for the
"Debug" compile.
