Hi, I can reproduce this odd behavior, on macos it seems a windows maximized is
seen by qt as the same as fullscreen mode so the window size state is not
saved/registered,  this makes it when exiting "full screen mode" it doesn't
return to a maximized state since it believes it was in that state and goes
back to the latest known size which by default is small.

As a workaround, make the window as big as you can using the bottom right
corner drag area, then toggle full screen mode.
