Bug ID: 441562
Summary: Wrong color in reference image, different to pasted in
layer
Product: krita
Version: 5.0.0-beta1
Platform: Other
OS: macOS
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Color models
Assignee: krita-bugs-null at kde.org
Reporter: varg86 at gmx.ch
Target Milestone: ---
SUMMARY
A pasted image into a layer looks different in color than loaded as a reference
image. The pasted image in the layer looks correct like the image showed with
the image preview from the OS.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
General Settings first:
Workspace in Krita is sRGB-elle-V2-srgbtrc, my Krita display profile is set to
the monitor iMac profile, for this i need to copy it into the resource folder,
but this is fine for me.
1. I have a image in sRGB IEC61966-2.1
2. In the app from macOS, the image preview, this image looks the same as i
pasted it in the layer in Krita, then Krita ask which profile i would like to
use, and i say “web”. Now this pasted image looks the same.
3. Every imported image to krita or exported image and shown in the macOS image
preview looks exactly the same now, in my opinion my color profile setup is
right now!
4. If i load this image as a reference image in krita, it looks way more
saturated and wrong.
OBSERVED RESULT
Krita shows the reference image in a wrong color profile.
EXPECTED RESULT
The reference image should look like the image showed in the OS or how it looks
like pasted in the layer in a Krita file.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
macOS: 10.15.1
