I was passing the local Apple Store today and went in to do a bit of tyre
kicking. IMO the Apple Mini would be good for the job, if it is powerful
enough to handle whatever the workload will be (which I do not know).

It's a monitor-less box, but it can use any monitor if/when necessary,
however it might need an adapter, for an extra $30 or so.

Tech specs are here https://www.apple.com/au/mac-mini/specs/ but with
Australian prices.  As you can see, it has quite a range of connections,
including Ethernet, even in the latest version.

I guess it would be up to Ben or his nominee to come up with a firm config,
a proposal and and a price, in whatever location it is to be purchased.

The other concern is who would be its "mother", i.e. who would see it safely
installed and configured as required in software and KDE sys admin? If
someone has to travel to do this, those expenses should be factored in.
