FYI
The port itself can be found through my repository, https://github.com/RJVB/macstrop/tree/master/kf5

Comment (by rjvbertin@…):
So, thumbs-up:
I have an initial implementation of a `port:kf5-kate`, and it works.
Glitches:
- the application is built without an icon
- I'll have to figure out what causes the repeated
{{{
void QCocoaMenu::insertNative(QCocoaMenuItem *, QCocoaMenuItem *) Menu
item "Clipboard &History" is already in menu "Edit" , remove it from the
other menu first before inserting
void QCocoaMenu::insertNative(QCocoaMenuItem *, QCocoaMenuItem *) Menu
item "&Bookmarks" is already in menu "" , remove it from the other menu
first before inserting
virtual void QCocoaMenu::removeMenuItem(QPlatformMenuItem *) Item to
remove does not belong to this menu
virtual void QCocoaMenu::removeMenuItem(QPlatformMenuItem *) Item to
remove does not belong to this menu
}}}
I hope that's just a question of a menuRole being set wrongly.
