I had the same thought.
I wanted to create a separate thread already before, but forgot about it at the last moment, i.e. when I clicked the send button. ;-)

Well, I have installed R and not R-framework:
$ port installed R
The following ports are currently installed:
  R @3.0.3_1+accelerate+cairo+gfortran48+recommended+x11 (active)
$ port list R-framework 
R-framework                    @3.0.0          math/R-framework

Good. At least there is something done about it. Perhaps we can get a decent RKWard port up and running.
