Yeah. Something like 75 (or 72, using the 12-rule mentioned elsewhere)
might be better, but unfortunately, the kde dpi dropdown list is rather
limited.
The fact that you did notice a difference between 96 and 120 using the
relatively easy GUI setting, however, should be enough to confirm whether
dpi will do what you want or not, in general, and thus whether it's worth
trying more difficult bigger changes in xorg.conf.
