[kde-linux] How to put icons in the taskbar?

Hello List,
Just upgraded to openSuse 11.3 with Kde 4.4.4.

With an earlier version of kde 4, I was able to drag
icons from the launcher lizard to the toolbar. With
4.4.4 the same icons drag right thru the taskbar.

Surely there is an easy way to put an icon into the
taskbar! For example I want to put Thunderbird into
the taskbar. I can drop the TB icon on to the
desktop, but not into the taskbar.

Tell me that a desktop icon is not the best I can do!
