[kde-linux] VoIP (skype) error message

Hello Everyone,

I bought a laptop with KDE pre-installed about a year ago and I've never been able to get my VoIP/Skype to work properly.

When I try to do a test call, I get an error message that says there is a problem with my sound system. I have followed the instructions in the help file:

My sound system is enabled.

Sound and Multimedia
>Sound System
>>Hardware Tab
>>>Full duplex is checked

My sound works fine in YouTube or playing music that's on my HD.


I'm using:

KDE 3.5.5
System: Linux
Release: 2.6.22-gentoo-r2
Machine: i686
