[kde-linux] arts/KDE 3.5.10 + libvorbis-1.2.0 -> welcome sound stops playing before it's finished

		Hiya.

I'm maintaining a small LFS-based linux "distribution" targetted at
using/controlling a specific device.

It runs on a normal x86 laptop, so nothing fancy.

Because of the above, updating to kde-4.x is no option; kde-3.5.10 is a
fine, sufficient desktop for it's purpose.

While trying to update libvorbis to the current version, I noticed what
the subject describes:

When KDE starts, it plays the welcome sound, breaking up after about
half of it is played. Afterwards, no sounds can be played anymore during
that session. Logging out and in again, the same happens again...

Has anybody experienced something similar with the mentioned versions of
the software, esp. libvorbis?
