well guyz at first kde 4.2 for me is heavenly good (a nice kick in the butt
for winbloat vista) after nvidia fixed the nasty bugs in their drivers ofc XD

but it have stiil some serious issues, not for us geeks ofc but for normal
humans being ,)
1. i hate that politic of commit desktop changes only when you nicely close
the session cuz first sometime stucks the previous unwanted plasmoids from
other session with the latest ones, so i have to remove them from config file
with kate :( or after i pimp my desktop and turn off my pc the bad mood sleepy
way i lost all the plasmoid conf.

2. i dont really understand why is useful the creepy thing of zoom in plasma
menu especially after upgrades can get very messy :( most of the time have to
rm -r .kde folder

3. i think dolphin after some tune up is a hell good file manager (except for
smb mounts with password :( but it fails too in konqueror so is mostly a kio
prob) so you maybe could think about made konqueror a web browser only
like safari maybe and give it a nice UI rework cuz konqueror look like a 90's
basic web browser and is not as friendly file manager for ppl like dolphin.

4. i think would be a crack to implement basic xul/gecko plugins supports so
konqueror can implement the huge amount of extensions from firefox and finaly
kde users can have a nitroed konqui XD

5. another thing is phonon doesnt recongnize videos in preview neither in
dolphin or konqueror so it got my nerves down cuz i have tons of videos in my
pc.

6.compared to vista or mac os x blink oxygen theme is kinda ugly and doesnt
show all the power of kde4 so i think maybe you can study a bit more an option
like bespin (with some clean up ofc that code is kinda messy but not
unfixable)and add some cool transparency things here and there ya know XD

7.in the case of desktop plasmoid is a looot better now, so here only issues
are vertical panels (a bit hard to set rigth) and plasmoid installer that dont
have a way to deal with binary plasmoids(so maybe for kde 4.3 you can create a
tool to create binary easy to install plasmoids, mmm could a c++ .so with an
xml config, openplasmoid format LOL. mmm maybe i can code that one and post it
later but i have to catch up with kde4 api)

8. at last post some api dev documentation for new guyz like me maybe ebooks
or pdf files so we can explode okular XD wich is kinda great for me XD(not
newbie i worked with kde3 so docs are easier than read the api comments from
sources XD)

besides this minimal issues i think kde4 is on a great road and i hope you
find this comments of any use XD
