I've hit this problem occasionally running KDE 4.1.0. Most of the time the
keyboard works, but sometimes it stops working and I have to log out and
log in again. This would suggest that there is a real KDE 4.1.x fault. (I
still run KDE 3.5 sessions in parallel, which never suffer from this
problem.)
