[kde-linux] kcryptd and file previews

I have my /home partition encrypted with dm-crypt. I have not done much
experimentation using different encryption forms, currently, when I created
the volume I used: cryptsetup -c aes-cbc-essiv:sha256

I have several large files >= 50 MB when I mouse over them dolphin becomes
unresponsive. I opened the system activity and watched what happens when I
mouse over a file and regardless of the file type, kcryptd moves to the top of
my cpu usage and dolphin hangs until kcryptd is finished doing what it's
doing.

Is this normal, a bug? Anything I can do about this? What kind of experiments
can I perform to tell if this is a bug with dolphin or kcryptd or ???
