I have for a long time used the option too load a previously saved session,
and it's always been fine until this problem started up. About the same time
I found that it always started with kmail opened - and I always use kontact,
so I can't imagine how that happened. However, closing it and saving the
session didn't cure it. An hour or two ago I decided to set it to Empty
Session for the time being. We'll see how it goes. If the worst comes to
the worst I can use other computers while I reinstall this one. It may prove
too difficult to find the damage and correct it.
