I'm sure you are aware of codecs (I've seen your name around for quite a 
while).
I'm still with FC6, but I do recall things changing from 5 to 6 so to be 
sure, For
fc6 you need something like k3b-extras-nonfree-0.12.17-3.lvn6 (or 
rpmforge equiv).
If there have been changes to 7, you'll have to search the repos for the 
correct one.
