I think you have to put this in a .directory text file in the location. 
This is a paste from mine.

[Desktop Entry]
Comment=Contains removed files
EmptyIcon=trashcan_empty
Encoding=UTF-8
Icon=trashcan_full

OnlyShowIn=KDE

That should help.  Someone correct me if I am wrong here.
