[kde-linux] Kprinter, kcmshell printers cannot access CUPS

KDE 3.5.5 has a nasty bug regarding polling the CUPS server, that could be the
bug you're seeing. Perhaps your distribution has updates available, or you
have to wait for 3.5.6 (or compile the patched source yourself of course)
