[kde-linux] Accident loses sound

Hi,

Could it be a corrupt file in ~/.kde ?
In that case try renaming .kde and reboot (may be a quicker way but I don't 
remember exactly, perhaps search the archives), the system will create a 
new .kde
If that does not help just revert to the prior version, but...

If that helps  you will probably want to restore most of .kde because it 
contains your personal settings.
Back up the new version and restore files progressively until the problem 
reappears and you are able to identify the faulty file(s)
It is somewhat time consuming but from the name of the files and folders you 
can guess which are probably unrelated to that problem and speed up the 
process.
