[kde-linux] helo detail req

helo i m sorry to ask such question on this group but i cant get hel
from anywhere.
i m using redhat 9. i got the error kernel panic no init found
try passing init = option
then i want to give some path to init but i m not able to write
command on command line. thne i insert bootable cd of redhat 9 . start
in rescue mode.
but it ddint work. i think some error in /dev/hda2
if i give fsck /dev/hda2 then it shows invalid argument and show the same error
plz help me how to recover from it becaus i dont want to re-install it again .
