It works fine for me w/ same software.  I had some other odd config problems, 
even moving from 3.5.1 > 3.5.2.  I solved them by backing up ~/.kde and 
allowing kde 3.5.2 to rebuild a new one.  It was a bit time consuming to 
recreate all the configs, but I see that as a small price.
