Hello,
somes days ago i had a question concerning kde351 and
a left-handed mouse (see below).
Nobody answered, so we had to find the solution ourselves ;)
The problem was not with KDE but with kernel-2.6 being different
to kernel-2.4 concerning the mouse.
With 2.6 there is only one mouse device (/dev/input/mice) for all
mice. But for "historical reasons" we still had /dev/psaux around...
After we deleted that (especially from /etc/X11/xorg.conf) anything
works fine now.

Original question:
Hello,
can someone please tell me, what's the appropriate entry
for an optical logitech wheel mouse in 'xorg.conf'
so that KDE can correctly be switched from right-handed
to left-handed? Or what may be wrong with our KDE-installation...
I've compiled/installed KDE (351, gcc-3.3.3, kernel-2.6.14
and libc 6.3.2) "right-handed" and now
a collegue would like to use this installation "left-handed".
If he switches the mopuse in the control-center, the results are
weird (and remain the same after logout/login):
-> "some" windows can be moved with the left button;
"some" others still need the right button
-> to get the Kmenu, he first needs to right-click it, then the left
button will work
-> within some applications the left button works as expected,
but within other applications he still has to use the right button
for the same tasks.
And much strange things more.
That would mean he would need to "learn" which things work left
and which remain right and which need to be "activated" with a
right click to work left...
At the same time he has a SuSE-installed laptop which just works
fine left-handed (i don't know which version).
