[kde-linux] Kmidi problem

I can't play midi files on my FC4 system.  I have loaded asfxload in rc.local 
and copied soundfonts from the Audigy CD.  I attempted to play a file from 
the CD and saw

There was an error loading the module KMid.
The diagnostics is:
The library libkmidpart does not offer an init_libkmidpart function.

Is there anything I can do about it?
