I get all of this now. I believe it's enabled under Konqueror. Go to 
Settings-->Configure Konqueror and look at Behavior. Check Show File Tips and 
Show Preview in File Tips. For instance, when I save a movie to my Desktop, I 
see the opening frame as an image on my desktop.
