Well Linux is not going to change the standards for you, so you can make the
settings change mentioned in the thread, or learn what a RIGHT click is for.

It took me 38 seconds to explain to my elderly client that
Linux was single click.  She was very thankful for that.  
Double click can be tricky for arthritic hands.
