[kde-linux] Konqueror Terminal Emulator Bug?

Dear friends,

Before I report this as a bug, please tell me whether you see it on distros
other than SUSE Linux 10.0 as well.

I have set Backspace to mean the same as Alt+Up (go to parent folder) since I
got used to it back in Windows. Please do the same for testing the following.

If I open the Terminal Emulator (Window Menu > Terminal Emulator) in
Konqueror, and I type something there, if I type a wrong character and hit
Backspace to erase it, the current folder listing (if there are many panes)
catches it and moves to the parent directory. This is reflected in the
Emulator with a cd command, and I am no longer able to continue the previous
command without moving back to the child directory and typing the command
without a single error.

The desired behaviour would be that when I am typing in the Terminal Emulator,
the "current" folder listing does not catch my keystrokes.

I have observed this on SUSE Linux 10.0, and if my friends here identify this
in other distros as well, I can report it as a bug.
