[kde-linux] How to deactivate KDE keyboard shortcuts?

is there a hot key to temporarily deactivate (and later to reactivate) the 
key assignments used by kde? 

I want to use the regular OpenOffice key shortcuts but they interfere with 
kde's.

Or is there a "passthrough" shortcut which forces kde to pass the pressed 
key to the app instead of interpreting it?
