[kde-linux] Smartcards and KDM

I'm attempting to get my smartcard to promt me in run level 5.  It
works great in run level 3 and want it to work the same way in 5....
login: bob
smartcard password: villa
password: isaslacker
I've been searching on google and will continue but thought that this
list serve would be a good place to also drop a line.  
I'm running KDE kdebase-3.1.3-5.9 on Redhat Enterprise 3 U5
I'm sure I've not put enough info so please let me know what I can
provide.
