hmm... I'm using the sequence "install-apt4suse --update-srclist && apt update 
&& apt -y upgrade" for months and  except for some minor problems it keeps my 
SuSE 10 well wet paint!

Maybe you excluded some repositiories from the apt4rpm source-srclist file?
