[kde-linux] Auto-mounting NFS/SMB shares

Hello,

I hope somebody can help me. I configured KDE to automatically add desktop 
icons if I plug in an external harddrive, USB stick etc. I also configured it 
to show icons for mounted SMB/NFS shares - but those never show up. I see 
device icons, but no icons for network shares. How does this feature work? I 
didn't find any documenation about this ...
