[kde-linux] kbuildsycoca crash - pls, help!

Hello!

I have built from sources (with gcc 3.4.3) and installed latest kde release: 3.4.1
on linux 2.4.30 with glibc 2.2.5.

Unfortunately, I can't start kde.  

I have done the following:
1) $ su -
2) # cat ~/.xinitrc
   exec startkde
3) # rm -rf ~/.kde/  
4) startx

I did these steps from the ordinary (non root) user too.  
The result was the same.

After last step, X are executed and blanking 'KCrash' application window
appears. I can exit from X via 'Ctrl-Alt-BackSpace' keys.

It seems to me, the problem is related to kbuildsyscoca.  

I have modified root's .xinitrc:

xterm &
exec twm

And after this, I have ran kbuilsycoca in xterm.
I have seen the same 'KCrash' frame.

Can anybody help?  What additional information should I get?
