[kde-linux] Video confercing options?

I am looking for an application to video conference from my laptop back to the
home PC. I found konference but that seems to be a rather immature project,
and anyway, didn't seem to do anything. Against my better judgement I emerged
gnomemeeting (and 12 other packages) and at first it seemed fairly solid.
However, upon setting up a connection I got a problem with the audio: it
couldn't share the device. KDE and gnomemeeting are both set to use ALSA.

Anybody else got anywhere with conferencing?
TIA
-Robin.
