I just didn't post it, but I also removed ~/.config.

However I have fixed most of my problem.  I renamed my home directory
and created a new one with the old name.  I copied ~/.xinitrc *only* to
the new directory.  I also deleted all the kde related files in /tmp and
/var/tmp.

Now kde comes up fine.  I just have to copy my non-kde files from my old
directory to the new one.

The remaining problem is that kicker sometimes crashes with a segfault
when leaving kde.  This may only happen the first time kde is exited
because I can't reproduce the problem now.
