embedded ??
that seems strange. I doubt you need this, as long as your pc runs X,
which ubuntu does :)
I suspect, configure can't find your KDEDIR, or kde-headers (or both) and 
hence doesn't build kyzis.
can you compile other kde-programs on your box ?
