[kde-linux] vi embedding in KDE (kdevelop)

I have been using kdevelop for some time now (its nice for QT and  
perl/shell scripts, but
I was wondering if

there was a way to use a VI-like editor inside kdevelop. I keep using 
VI  keys, which gets
tiresome after a while

(I am just used to delete using x:)

Now I configured and it correctly (I presume) in the control panel (KDE  
components), at least when I click "TEST" it says all is well.
However, I still cannot  chose the embedded vi editor in any KDE app.
