[Kde-l10n-kn] Regarding kannada localization in KDE

Thanks Shankar

In the meanwhile, I came across the following commands in some forum:

# Find PO files, process each with msgfmt and rename the result into
filename.MO

for file in `find . -name "*.po"` ; do msgfmt -o `echo $file | sed
's/\.po$/.mo/'` $file ; done

# Move the files to the right folder under /usr/share

sudo find . -iname '*.mo' -exec mv '{}' /usr/share/locale/kn/LC_MESSAGES/ \;

I have executed the above commands on the po files that I have synced
from the KDE kannada website
(http://i18n.kde.org/team-infos.php?teamcode=kn).

After running the above commands, I am able to get the window language
in kannada, for applications that are run using the following command
(as root):

KDE_LANG=kn <application>

For example:

KDE_LANG=kn kwrite

However, there are some situations which are not applications that can
be called. For example, the menu that appears when we right click on the
desktop. What should be done in that case?

Thanks and Regards,

cs
